Dick Grayson, Robin, Nightwing, Batman.

All the same person.

Dick Grayson Started his Super hero Life as an Orphaned Acrobat, taken in By Bruce Wayne. His Tenure as the First Robin ended when he left Batman to help found the Teen Titans.

He took on the New persona of Nightwing when he felt he’d outgrown the Robin name. he moved to Bludhaven and dug in trying to help the city, it was tough from the beginning.

I’m not here to give a detailed History of Dick Grayson/Nightwing, I’m only trying to share my opinion as to why Nighwing is my Favorite Character in the Bat-Family, and Why he is/was the only choice at carrying on the Mantle of the Bat.

My Opinion may not be Unique, but it’s mine. 

Nightwing is the First son of Batman (by adoption obviously), he’s been there from the start, and he knows what Batman means to Gotham (and the World). He has the most Training of all the former and current Robins, and other Than Tim, the most grounded personality.

so the Fact that the Editors/writers at DC went ahead and made dick the New Batman made good sense. Now I know this is very old news for anyone that reads comic books, it’s still a good topic.

I’ll probably write more Blogs about him….suffice to say, Nightwing/Batman is awesome, though I miss Bruce as the dark knight.

on a final note (for now) I leave you this comparison shot for a potential Actor that could play Nightwing in a movie that’ll never actually get made (sadface)

Ian Somerhalder would make a kickass Dickgrayson/Nightwing…..ya!

On October 5, I hope a lot of People embark on a odyssey…to the west.

I just Downloaded the demo on XBLA for the Upcoming Adventure/Action game from “Heavenly Sword” Dev Ninja Theory, and I gotta say…wow. it’s awesome.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is looking great, the voice acting in the demo is good and the 10 minute opening sequence is Intense. I’m not going to go into detail about the game as I’ve not really read to much in hopes to preserve the experience for myself. All I’ll say is that it’s Loosely based on “Monkey: Journey to the west” a Chinese Opera/folklore story. (on a side note Gorillaz creators Damon Albarn and Jaime hewlett have recently done some work on their own version of the story).

so ya, I’m going to play the hell out of this game, it’s nice to see a game that’s not based on an established series come out. hopefully The gaming public will embrace it and we’ll see more original Ideas.

I’ve Found Myself Listening to The black Parade by My Chemical Romance Again.

It’s hard to Believe this Stellar Album came out 4 years ago, but sure enough it’s been 4 years.

for a bit of History, I “Discovered” MCR through the Soundtrack for Burnout 3, with their track “I’m Not Okay (I promise)” from the previous Album “Three Cheers for sweet revenge” and while that Album was tight, it just felt a little mopey and whiney for me to fully embrace as a 25 year old.I liked Gerard Ways voice and the Punk sound has always been something I’ve flirted with, but it just had this, as the kids called it, “emo” sound running through it.

When The Black Parade came out I ignored it for almost of a year. though after hearing a few tracks on the radio and not recognizing them as MCR, I looked into it. As luck would have it, a couple of my younger friends had it in heavy rotation.

At the end of August 2007, My Girlfriend at the time left me, the Album took on new meaning. the disc (or MP3s as it would be) didn’t leave my Headphones for a good 3 months after.

to say that the Album was a tonic, would be an understatement. The Song Arraignments and the Lyrics had a mature yet sad quality, helping me work through the pain I was feeling. It had a feeling of growth and production that echoed Queen, and the subject matter allowed me to get out the feelings I had locked up.

“Famous Last words”, “Disenchanted” and “I don’t love you” are in my top ten best Break up songs…. and “Welcome to the Black Parade” is just a Phenomenal song.

“Teenagers” has taken on new meaning with age and “Dead!” is so fucking awesome on Guitar hero….

after my Time with This wonderful album I was Okay (I promise). I have High hopes for the new album and I count myself a fan of My Chemical Romance….

So Rumor has it that Emma Stone (Zombieland,Superbad and Easy A) may be up for the Role of Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming reboot of Spiderman.

I for one am 100 percent behind the Idea. not only is she very Attractive (Mary Jane need to be Attractive) she also has a Persona and Charisma that Kirsten Dunst Lacked….  

so….Emma Stone…as Mary Jane….yes Please!

So, I’ve posted a fair bit of stuff here after about a week. I really like seeing that a few people (that I don’t actually know) Like some of my posts….

so I Offer this up…if you like what I Post, Comment on the posts you like or ask me stuff. I like interaction about geeky stuff.

oh and I totally want this poster…it’d look so good on my wall….

that’s not to say that the sequel wasn’t with out merit….it did feature Sean Connery again….but lets talk Highlander.

I like to think of this Film as the quintessential 80s cheese movie. the mythology doesn’t really make sense, though it’s compelling. and the Plot is kind of a mess, but damn if it isn’t a fun movie.

Christopher Lambert should have been all wrong, A french Actor playing a Scotsman…..but he pulls it off (complete with a bewildering Accent) and Sean connery Plays a guy from Egypt….. ya.

The major point of Awesome to this movie is The Soundtrack, completely made up of Songs written for this movie by Queen…..soooo awesome!

The Film was Directed by The same guy that made Duran Duran into Video stars as well….

that’s not a complete Analysis of the movie, just some thoughts.

oh…one last Point…it’s about dudes chopping dudes heads off…..with Swords…and they are immortal…..
